For teeth that are damaged or decayed, crowns can be the perfect solution. Porcelain crowns fit over damaged teeth, restoring their strength, health, and beauty. Crowns can be matched to your natural tooth color so the fact that you have had dental work is easily concealed.
Dental bridges are commonly used to replace 1 or 2 missing teeth, and are supported by tooth-colored material. Bonded into place, dental bridges provide a long-lasting, sturdy solution to restore smiles to their natural looking state. A partial may be recommended if you have missing teeth due to severe decay, or have teeth that have been damaged by impact or trauma.
Periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile—it can cause loss of teeth and, eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums.
This is also referred to as Endodontics. We are able to do root canals but not all teeth are alike and may require special training and equipment to be done properly. The Doctor works closely with a highly trained endodontist to ensure you receive the best treatment available.
Composite, or tooth colored, fillings are made up of plastic and ceramic compounds used to restore a tooth that has decay. There are many benefits to having a tooth colored filling. One of the major benefits are that it’s more aesthetically pleasing as opposed to a silver filling.
In only the most extreme and necessary cases—such as when its roots are severely damaged beyond repair—we may extract a tooth in preparation for a restorative dentistry procedure, such as dentures.
Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth. Dentures allow a patient chew and speak more easily while improving appearance and often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when all of a patients teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing. In either case, dentures can help you look and feel your best.
Inlays & Onlays
Some teeth need greater strength and support than can be given by fillings alone. Inlays and onlays are tooth-colored restorations that can fill large cavities and repair damaged teeth. Tooth-colored inlays and onlays do their work subtly and beautifully.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer strikes three times as many victims as cervical cancer. It is one of the few types of cancer that has not seen a significant reduction in incidence over the past thirty years, and recent research has shown a strong association with Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which can be sexually transmitted. For this reason, many oral health care professionals now believe that all individuals over the age of 18 should have at least an annual comprehensive oral examination, and ideally at every dental hygiene visit.
Partial dentures are designed to work around healthy teeth that are still present in the mouth. A partial can improve chewing, phonetics and confidence. They can be made by a combination of metal or acrylic with gum-colored claps to create a natural smile.
As you age, you may begin to notice that your teeth aren’t quite the same shade of white that they were in your youth. Typically, noticeable discoloration begins in the late 20s and early 30s. A variety of factors can speed up the discoloration process including chemical staining from drinking caffeine and smoking, a genetic predisposition to early yellowing, and the onset of gum and tooth disease. Here at Dr. Larry Suher & Associates, we use the ZOOM Whitening technology. The level of whiteness that can be achieved will depend on the level of discoloration of the teeth and how they came to be stained. When you feel that your smile isn’t perfect, it can have a huge impact on your life. It affects not only your appearance, but your lifestyle as well. As an adult, you may choose to straighten your teeth for business and social reasons. We all know that the pressures as a teen are difficult and you or the parent of a teen may be looking for an effective yet modern-day solution. In either case, Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® can provide a simple way to accomplish.
A Veneer is a layer of ceramic that is placed over the front surfaces of your teeth to improve the appearance. Veneers are custom-made for each patient, changing the color, shape, size and length of the teeth as needed.

Cleanings & Exams
Although twice-daily brushings and regular flossing are excellent for maintenance between office visits, regular examinations, cleanings, and even fluoride treatments, are an absolute necessity if you are to maintain a healthy mouth. Our staff will help you keep your teeth and gums strong and disease-free.
Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps prevent cavities in adults and children. It can also help reverse the early stages of tooth decay. Fluoride helps strengthen teeth by absorbing lost calcium and phosphorus to keep teeth hard and strong.
Sealants act as an extra layer of protection from cavities. The sealant is a plastic material that is applied the tooth’s chewing surface. It covers the depressions and deep grooves in teeth that brushing can often miss. Dental sealants prevent decay from developing in these vulnerable areas.
